IRVINE and Dreghorn Brass Band will be holding their Summer concert this week.
The show will feature some lovely music from the group’s senior band, juniors and learners groups, as well as some beautiful solos from band members.
The performance – being held in the Volunteer Rooms at 7pm on Sunday, June 3 – will be led by senior band conductor Scott Kerr and Youth Conductor John Boax.
It will also feature guest soloist and friend of the band, Gordon Kyle, who is the soprano player for the prestigious Co-op Funeralcare Band.
Gordon began playing the trumpet aged 11 and soon became Principal Cornet of Gryffe Valley Brass band, a non-contesting band who regularly toured the UK and Europe.
Tickets are priced £7 / £5 (concessions) or £12/£10 including a copy of the Irvine and Dreghorn Brass Band 40th Anniversary CD (RRP £10).
Tickets are available on the door or by phoning 07875 426329 or 07733 142197. Visit www.idbrass.com.
