Police probe after man found dead on Merryvale Road
A 49-year-old man was found dead on an Irvine street.
Police were called out this morning [Monday] after reports of a man having died suddenly on the pavement of Merryvale Road.
Police said there were no apparent suspicious circumstances but currently treating the death as unexplained.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland was made aware of the sudden death of a 49-year-old man on Merryvale Road in Irvine shortly after 11.15am on Monday, April 13.
"The death is being treated as unexplained, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.
"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
