Drugs worth £7,000 were recovered after a search by police in Irvine. 

Officers from the Locality Policing Team carried out a search under warrant at an address in the town's Dickson Drive on Friday, February 2. 

During the search, cocaine and heroin with an estimated street value of £7,000 was recovered.

Four people were arrested, charged and reported to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged drug offences.

Sergeant Will Thomson, of Irvine LPT, said: “We will continue to target those engaged in criminality like this. We will not stop in the quest to get controlled drugs off our streets.
