Expenses endgame for local politicians
Katy Clark MP pays back £800 while Brian Donohoe explains 'mislaid' info
AS MPs face up to the aftermath of the expenses scandal, local members Brian Donohoe and Katy Clark have been called to account.
Central Ayrshire MP Brian Donohoe had to supply information about mortgage payments he claimed was "mislaid".
And Katy Clark was required to pay back almost £800 she had wrongly claimed for mobile phone calls and removal men.
Mr Donohoe said: "I was asked to provide further paperwork. The paperwork in question was in fact already in the hands of the House of Commons fees office.
"However it appears to have been mislaid - so I have now clarified the position and I do not expect any further action"
