A YOUNG tot watched on as a man launched a vicious tirade of abuse at her father - who was later threatened with a bottle as he attempted to avoid a confrontation on Christmas Eve.
Simon Crilly, his partner and their three-year-old daughter had arrived at their West Bowhouse Gardens home at around 3pm that day when they spotted James Hall standing nearby with a neighbour.
Procurator Fiscal Laura Archbold told Kilmarnock Sheriff Court: "When the accused saw the witnesses he began shouting obscenities towards Simon Crilly."
The family went inside their house and called police for advice.
"Mr Crilly then went outside to get his car to take the family away," added the fiscal.
It was at this point that Hall, of West Bowhouse Way, started walking towards him with a bottle raised above his head.
He began shouting "have you not got the f****** b****" and "you f****** b******" at Mr Crilly.
Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane told Hall, 42, that she wanted to know more about his background before sentencing him given "the nature of the offence and your previous convictions".
Sentence was deferred until next month.
