AN IRVINE man will await his punishment after he admitted his part in a street brawl.

Sean Conway, of Doura Place, pled guilty to being involved in a fight along with six others in Green Street, Saltcoats, last October.

However, a further charge of being in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a bottle, was dropped by prosecutors at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.

Sentence was deferred on the 27-year-old until later in the year for the production of background reports.
