An Irvine man and woman have denied threatening to set their neighbours’ home on fire and placing them in a state of fear and alarm.
Jason Pendlebury and Margaret McCandlish, both of Warrix Avenue, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week in relation to the charge.
McCandlish, 33, was on bail at the time of the alleged offence.
The pair are alleged to have turned up at their neighbours’ door uninvited on February 7 and behaved in a threatening or abusive manner.
They allegedly kicked the door repeatedly, shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence including threats to set the property on fire, and challenged the people living there to fight.
Pendlebury, 46, also denied threatening a police officer with violence at Warrix Avenue on the night in question.
Both McCandlish and Pendlebury will appear at the same court for trial in March.
