A 38-year-old man was remanded in custody after admitting to stealing two chainsaws and a power washer from his mum’s garage in Dreghorn and breaching bail conditions on two occasions.
Jamie Dean, currently of no fixed abode, pled guilty at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week to two charges.
Dean broke into the garage owned by his mum in Holms Avenue and stole the chainsaws and the power washer on May 28.
At the time of the offence, Dean was on bail.
He received bail again with the conditions that he did not enter or seek to enter Holms Avenue and that he remain within his given address of Maid Morvel Avenue between 7pm-7am.
But between May 30 and June 7, Dean failed without reasonable excuse to comply with his bail conditions in that he did not reside at Maid Morvel Avenue and that he was not within the property throughout the stated times.
Sentence was deferred until July 25 as Dean had other matters calling. Dean was remanded in custody, bail having been refused.
