A 34-year-old man has been remanded in custody after admitting to stealing cheese.
Allan Dean pleaded guilty to two charges of theft by shoplifting at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
His plea of not guilty to a third charge was accepted by the prosecutor.
On August 10, Dean, of Forde Avenue in Dalry, stole a quantity of cheese from Tesco Express in Kilwinning’s Main Street.
He also stole a quantity of toiletries from Wilko at the Rivergate on August 14.
The case was adjourned for reports until September.
Dean was remanded in custody, bail having been refused.
