CUNNINGHAME South's MSP is encouraging everyone to help the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning pass its £200m fundraising total – by putting the kettle on at the new Fullarton Community Hub.
The Cunninghame South MSP is taking part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s leading fundraising event this month, and she wants local people to get involved.
Ruth Maguire said: “I know that a considerable number of constituents have personal experience of the problems a cancer diagnosis can bring to both patients and their families, and I know that Macmillan has been there to support many of those in need. That’s why I will be hosting a coffee morning at the new Fullarton Community Hub between 10am and 12pm on Friday, September 29 - and I would like to invite all of my constituents to drop in.
“It’s an easy and fun way to raise money, and every penny we raise will help people with cancer.” Last year thousands of people across the UK took part in events, raising around £29.5m."
