MAN DENIES KICKING FEMALE OFFICER
A MAN has been accused of assaulting a female police officer in Irvine.
Jason Donelly, 21, is charged with conducting himself in a disorderly manner and attacking the officer at Bank Street on December 27.
It is alleged that he shouted, swore and commited breach of the peace, before kicking and stamping on the female constable's knees.
Then, at the Accident and Emergency department of Crosshouse Hospital, he is alleged to have shouted and swore, causing alarm and suffering to patients and children.
Donnelly, of Montgomery, Kilmarnock, pled not guilty at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
His case is adjourned until May.
