GREEN fingered Irvine folk won’t want to miss out on the annual Marymass Flower Show.
The colourful event, organised by Irvine Horticultural Society, will take place on Monday, August 25 at the Volunteer Rooms.
Local MSP Margaret McDougall will officially open the show at 3pm which is a mainstay of the annual Marymass celebrations, attracting visitors from across Ayrshire Those wishing to take part are encouraged to bring along crafts, home grown vegetables, jam or any other garden produce.
The displays will feature a selection of flowers, vegetables, pot plants, preserves, baking, crafts, floral art and work by locals. The presentation of trophies will take place at 7.30pm. Those wishing to stage their entries can do so this Sunday between 6.45pm and 9.30pm and on the day of the show between 7am and 10am. For more information contact Bill Anderson on 01294 277461.
