Monday was a club business night.
Future events were discussed including World Polio Day on October 24, and the club’s social events in the autumn will include a Glasgow walk in September, a safari supper in November and a Christmas party in December.
Next week the members will start collecting tinned food for the annual Can for Gran hampers distribution at Christmas.
To round off the evening, Pam Lodge was invited to draw the winning ticket in the monthly charity raffle, and by coincidence went home with a nice bottle of brandy.
