AN IRVINE business has become the first in Scotland to help launch a new online shopping service.

XS Stock have teamed up with the online auction site to kickstart its Click & Collect services where shoppers will no longer need to wait in for deliveries.

The Lamont Drive-based shop have had a close association with eBay for the past few years and have showcased their range of products including their popular home range and fancy dress.

And impressed by their popularity with shoppers, eBay invited XS Stock to take part in the Click & Collect service - making them the first Scottish company to do so.

Shoppers will now be able to shop anytime and anywhere without worrying about missing their delivery and eBay believes that the value of the service will rise to £5.3bn this year, an increase of 50 per cent.

The research comes as the UK high street gets ready for the festive shopping season and half of shoppers surveyed by eBay insist they will look to Click & Collect services for purchasing their Christmas presents.

XS Stock’s E-Commerce Manager Mark Gregory was delighted with the feedback he received from customers.

He said: “The eBay Click & Collect service link-up has been excellent for us at XS Stock and we’ve received some really useful and positive feedback from customers.

“We’ve had an excellent relationship with eBay for the past few years ever since we first launched our online store on the site.

“We initially made our most popular ranges available such as our homeware, DIY and fancy dress but the demand has grown every year since we joined.

“We were approached a few months ago to take part and test drive the Click & Collect service and we got some excellent feedback.

“Making the shopping experience as good as it possibly can be is what we are all about and it’s been clear that the Click & Collect service has certainly been a big positive.

“And when we discovered that we were actually the first company in Scotland to get on board that made it an even greater achievement and one that we are very proud to have been involved with.”
