AN Irvine man who racially abused a man and breached his Community Payback Order has been jailed.
John Carlin, of St Kilda Bank, committed the offences on June 8, 2013 and January 1 this year.
The 24-year-old was initially ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work with 12 months supervision in February for shouting, swearing, and challenging police to a fight in Irvine’s Stronsay Way while on bail.
However, Carlin only completed one and a half months of supervision and 43 and a half hours of unpaid work.
In addition, Carlin admitted racially absusing a man near Pitchers nightclub on January 1.
He shouted, swore and uttered threats during the incident.
Carlin, who is currently serving a prison sentence at HMP Bowhouse (pictured), appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and pled guilty.
He was sentenced to four months in prison to run consecutively with his current sentence.
