AN IRVINE man who admitted having sex with an underage girl is awaiting sentencing.
Paul Gibb, of Gigha Terrace, committed the offence between May 1 and September 1, 2014.
The 18-year-old admitted having sex with the girl when she was 14.
Kilmarnock Sheriff Court heard in March how Gibb and the girl started a relationship in November 2013.
This continued to April 2014 where they had sex on several occasions before the relationship ended in September 2014.
However, the matter came to the attention of police after officers were investigating Gibb on another matter.
Gibb previously pled guilty to the offence and returned to court on Monday, July 20 following the preparation of social work reports.
His sentence was deferred until October for good behaviour.
