A DRIVER has been charged with alleged careless driving after a man was struck by a van in Dreghorn.
Police received a report of a road traffic collision on Campbell Place at around 11.40am today (Friday, July 31).
Officers attended the scene found that an 18-year-old man had been struck by a van and had sustained minor injuries.
He was taken to Crosshouse Hospital as a precautionary measure. He has since been assessed and released.
The male driver of the van has been charged with alleged careless driving and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
