MOST children may have dedicated all of their Hallowe'en to dressing up, but not the area's Scouts as they helped keep Kilwinning tidy.

The 19th Ayrshire Scouts concluded Promoting Kilwinning’s 2015 Autumn Clean-up week on Saturday as the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers all showed up at the Kilwinning library.

The group set off to clear different parts of Kilwinning with the focus on removing as much litter as possible.

Joe Broussard, Chairman of Promoting Kilwinning said: “ Another successful Clean-up week thanks to all of our enthusiastic supporters. Those who were not able to participate can still organise their own clean-up. Call me on 01294 552284 or email joe@broussard.co.uk for assistance.”

The group's Clean and Beautiful campaign not only works to reduce litter, dog fouling and fly tipping, it also encourages residents and businesses to keep their properties and surrounding areas tidy and attractive.

Promoting Kilwinning wants to acknowledge all those who do their bit and are proud of Kilwinning. If you make an effort to keep your home, shop, school, church and street clean, let Promoting Kilwinning know and they will provide you with a weatherproof outdoor sign, an indoor window sign or a bumper sticker to display at your home or shop to show that you take pride in Kilwinning.
