A MAN who carried out a bottle attack in Kilwinning has been jailed for six months.
Joseph McGhie, 22, committed the assault in Cambusdoon Place on September 27 this year.
McGhie, a prisoner of HMP Bowhouse, admitted repeatedly striking the man on the head with a bottle as well as punching him on the head.
He also struggled with the man before scratching his arm.
McGhie appeared from custody at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and pled guilty.
He was sentenced to six months in prison and ordered to serve the remaining five months of a previous sentence.
