A GROOM stunned his new wife after a host of celebrities wished them well on their wedding day.

Ant & Dec superfan Lauren Grant, 28, was gobsmacked when her favourite duo left a kind good luck message as she tied the knot with husband Ben Grant.

And they weren’t the only celebs involved as Susan Boyle, Gok Wan and Twin Atlantic passed on their best.

The messages were the icing on the cake for what was a perfect day for the Kilwinning couple.

Ben and Lauren were married at the Lyndhurst Hotel in Johnstone where the video was beamed to all their friends and family in attendance.

Ant & Dec wished the pair luck before adding that they would’ve came had they been invited!

Monarch of the Glen star Dawn Steele and indie rockers The Xcerts also took time out to send a message.

Ben, a DJ with Irvine Beat FM, had to push the wedding back to October after his dad died suddenly.

Irvine Times:

And the 27-year-old was even more determined to make the day one he and Lauren would never forget.

Speaking to the Times, Ben said: “We were supposed to get married but we moved it to October because my dad passed away.

“I wanted to do something memorable so I contacted Ant & Dec’s manager but he said it wouldn’t be possible.

“I explained the situation to him and he said he would see what he could do.

“Not long after I got a WhatsApp message with a video link of them wishing us luck which was amazing.

“From there, I thought ‘why not get as many as we can?’”

He added: “My mate works in tour management and was working at Party at the Palace and met Gok Wan and Susan Boyle to leave a message.

“Lauren was completely shocked, she’s a massive Ant & Dec fan and it was brilliant to get them

“We’re now trying to see if they’ll pick up the story for Saturday Night Takeaway and see if we can get on it!

“It was absolutely amazing seeing Lauren’s reaction, I don’t think I could’ve topped it.”
