Do you know someone who has lit up Kilwinning?

Organisers of this year’s Kilwinning Christmas Lights switch on are looking for a local hero to officially turn them on.

This year the Christmas lights switch on will be on Thursday, November 23 and organisers, Promoting Kilwinning are hoping to have a community stalwart there to take centre stage.

Promoting Kilwinning are looking for individuals who have made a significant contribution to making Kilwinning a better place to live, work and play or has a special connection with Kilwinning; past or present.

Kilwinning Academy Parent Council will again be there with their very successful Santa’s grotto in the Erskine Hall.

To avoid any disappointment Santa will be in his grotto from 2pm.

The Main Event, however, will start at 3:30pm with Entertainment on the main stage, stalls and children’s rides on the Main Street.

Craft stalls will also be in the Erskine Church Hall.

The Switch on will be at 5:30pm.

Promoting Kilwinning are asking local entertainers to get in touch to reserve a spot on stage.

Stall application forms are also now available. Volunteers are needed to help steward the event, help with fundraising and planning the event.

If you are interested in nominating someone to switch on the lights, entertaining on stage, having a stall or being a volunteer, please contact Joe Broussard, Eglinton House, Kilwinning KA13 7QA.

Or you can email Joe at joe@broussard.co.uk or call 01294 552284 or message Promoting Kilwinning via their Facebook page.
