A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged robbery in Kilwinning on Tuesday.
Police had been appealing for information after the priest at St Winin's Church was allegedly assaulted during the incident.
They confirmed this morning that a 27-year-old man was arrested and was due to appear in court today (Thursday) in connection with the incident.
Police Scotland said: "A 27-year-old has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the incident."
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
