POLICE are hunting a serial burglar after he targeted three elderly ladies in their own homes.
The callous thief snuck into sheltered housing complex, Robert Service Court in the Blacklands and raided the homes of three women, aged 80, 79 and 70, in the space of an hour.
The burglar swiped more than £300-worth of goods and cash when he struck all three properties between 5am and 6am on Friday, March 30.
Police have issued a description of the fiend in the hopes that someone will come forward to identify him.
He is described as a white, Scottish man in his late 20s. He was wearing dark clothing and was clean shaven.
Police are urging people to make sure all doors in their homes are locked following the thefts, which have left his vulnerable victims distraught.
A spokeswoman for Ayrshire Police Division said: “We received reports of three thefts from inside homes in Robert Service Court, between 5am and 6am on Friday, March 30.
“Inquiries are on going and anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
