THE FUTURE of the multi-million pound development of Kilwinning Sports Club looks safe - after the council agreed funding despite massive cutbacks elsewhere.

After securing more than £640,000 from NAC in their budget for next year, organisers at the club say they are confident the £3.2m project will go ahead, as many investors had been waiting on the council's vote of confidence.

KSC chairman Jim McCubbin said: "Obviously we are delighted."
