Anger at vandal's wrecking spree

MINDLESS vandals have caused more than £10,000-worth of damage to a children's playground at Eglinton Park.

Yobs have targeted the all-ability play area more than a dozen times this year and North Ayrshire Council is calling on park visitors to report any vandalism so it can be stopped.

The play park has been designed so it can be used by all children, including those with disabilities and wheelchair users and only opened last April.

The latest destruction left several parts of the park, which is the second largest in Ayrshire, closed while repairs were made.
