Thousands remember the man who always had a smile on his face

THE HEARTBROKEN family of a much-loved Kilwinning taxi driver have told of their sorrow at the loss of a 'great man'.

David Tudhope died on Tuesday, July 17, with his family at his bedside - two weeks after going into hospital for routine treatment of his diabetes.

Today - just two days after laying him to rest - the devastated family of David, who was better known as Davie, have paid tribute to their 'big smiler'.

Brother Ronnie, 53, told the Times: "He was just simply a great man. He always had a smile on his face, no matter what and I think that's how everyone will remember him."
