A KILWINNING sex offender has appeared back at court after breaching the terms of his release.

Adam McCaig, of David Gage Street, returned to court last week after police learned he had two credit cards which he hadn’t declared.

McCaig, the former secretary of the now defunct Kilwinning Eagles under 7’s football team, was put on the Sex Offenders Register last year, after it was discovered he had downloaded more than 250 indecent images of children - some of them at the worst levels of depravity.

He was also placed on a three year supervision order as a direct alternative to a prison sentence.

Under the terms of the register, he was required to notify police about any credit cards he held.

However, on November 6, when he had been registered for almost two months, it emerged that he had two RBS credit cards which he hadn’t told anyone about.

McCaig, now living in Saltcoats, pled guilty to failing to comply with the terms of the register at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in March. Last week, he was put on a deferred sentence till December to demonstrate good behaviour.
