A MAN looks set to lose his job after driving drunk in Kilwinning and lying about who he was.
Jason Sim, 41, was observed by police driving on Lauchlan Way on January 12, when he was found to be over the legal drink drive limit.
When spoken to on Fergushill Road, he told officers his name was Robert Sim and that he lived in Stobbs Terrace.
He also lied about his date of birth.
Sim, of Morton Park Drive, Darvel, pled guilty to charges of drink driving and giving false information in an attempt to pervert the course of justice at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
The court heard that he needed a licence for his work as a fencing supervisor and, following his conviction and disqualification, would likely be sacked.
He was disqualified from driving for one year and ordered to pay a fine of £600.
