THE people of Ayrshire turned out in force recently for a special Walk for Fun day at Eglinton Park.

The event was organised by local fundraiser Suzanne Fernando for Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and was a roaring success.

People (and pets) from all across Ayrshire joined in with the fun along with a very special guest, none other than Mario from Party Palz.

The walk was started by Segdoune Queen Lauren Caldwell along with her royal party and local councillor Donald Reid.

Suzanne said: “It was only my second event for Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and it was a roaring success as people from all over Ayrshire attended the Walk for Fun.

“We had a few special guests and it was an absolute pleasure to welcome Super Mario and Party Palz who took part in the walk and entertained the kids along the way.

“I have to thank Bookers, Chameleon Graphics, B&M and Sainsbury’s for their generous contributions towards the walk, the lovely volunteers but most of all the participating walkers as without them it wouldn’t be possible.” A big well done to everyone who took part from the Irvine Times.
