A KILWINNING motorist has been banned from the roads after refusing to give a breath sample.
Jamie Lamour, of Howden Avenue, was stopped by police in Ladyford Avenue on June 30, under suspicion he was driving while over the limit.
However, when he was taken to Saltcoats Police Office, he refused to provide two specimens of breath for analysis.
Lamour, 34, admitted the offence at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
He was fined £450 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for a period of two years.
