TWO men who intended to steal from an Irvine housing site have escaped jail.
Peter Farrell, 23, and Andrew Wardle, 21, committed the offence on March 4.
The pair were found within a new housing construction site, owned by Persimmon Homes, near to Ladyacre Avenue, Montgomerie Park, Irvine.
Whilst at the site, it was reasonably inferred that both men intended to commit a theft.
Farrell, of Stanley Road, Ardrossan, and Wardle, of Sunnyside Square West, Kilmarnock, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and pled guilty.
Both men were fined £240 each.
