A WORKSHOP for adult learners in Irvine has highlighted the positive impact of picking up new skills in North Ayrshire.

A group of 15 adult learners came together at Vineburgh Community Centre to attend a workshop run by Scotland’s Learning Partnership and North Ayrshire Council’s Connected Communities Department.

During the workshop, they spoke about their experience of adult learning within North Ayrshire and further afield.

Councillors Ruth Maguire and Robert Steel answered questions about future learning provision and outlined how supportive they were of adult learning in North Ayrshire.

Representatives from the group will now represent North Ayrshire at a national workshop in Edinburgh University on March 16, where they will play a key role in determining how adult learning is delivered across Scotland.
