AN IRVINE man found guilty of drink driving has been fined.
Allan Stocks, of Merrick Place, committed the offence in Morrison Avenue, Stevenston, on July 5 last year.
The 47-year-old denied testing 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililetres of breath, exceeding the then-limit of 35 microgrammes.
After standing trial at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week, Stocks was found guilty.
He was fined £400 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
Stocks’ period of disqualification will be reduced if he completes the Vernon Manfield scheme.
