A KILWINNING man who threatened to blow up his home and shoot police officers has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Gary Gunion, of Blacklands Crescent, admitted making the threats on March 21, 2014.
The 27-year-old contacted the emergency services before threatening to blow up his home on the arrival of police.
Gunion also threatened police with violence, stating that they would be shot if they entered his home.
His threats caused police to deploy specialist personnel and temporarily deprive them of services.
Gunion appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court (pictured) last week and pled guilty.
He was ordered to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work over a period of six months.
