AN IRVINE karate club is celebrating after collecting top trophies in a European contest.
The Burakudo Karate Club represented the Scottish Karate Alliance at the Eighth UKF International Invitation Tournament in Donegal Ireland last week.
Clubs from all over Europe attended and Irvine’s Carol-Ann Donaghy returned with silver medals in Female Team Rotation and Female Sanbon categories as well as bronze in Female Ippon class.

The Burakudo Karate Club has classes in Castlepark Community Centre on Wednesdays from 4.30- 5.30pm (everyone), 7.30-8.30pm (everyone). 8.30-9.30pm, (Adult Squad), Thursdays 4.30-5.30pm (everyone), Friday 5pm-6pm (children squad). Sundays 12pm-1pm (everyone).
