MORE than £25,000 worth of drugs was allegedly seized in Irvine last week.
At around 5.35pm on Wednesday, August 12, police attended a property in the town’s Cairnsgarroch Way with a search warrant.
During the search, a quantity of alleged Class A drugs were seized. As a result, a 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly being concerned in the supply of drugs.
Chief Inspector Brian Shaw, Area Commander in North Ayrshire, said: “This represents a significant seizure in terms of value and safeguarding local communities.
“We are committed to keeping people safe and to working with communities to tackle drug misuse and drug dealing in North Ayrshire.” Anyone with information on those involved in alleged drug dealing or alleged drug misuse in local communities should contact Police Scotland by calling 101 (always dial 999 in an emergency) or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
