A BAG pack and bucket collection at a supermarket in Irvine by a cancer charity raised over £400.
Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust held the event at Sainsbury’s in the town and dressed in the charity’s official colour pink, along with some other eye-catching outfits as they helped to raise a fantastic £403.90.
Suzanne Fernando, who helped to organise the event, praised the volunteers and staff at Sainsbury’s for a great day. She said: “I would like to say a thank you to the staff at Sainsburys for allowing our charity fun day and would also like to extend a huge thank you to everyone of my volunteers for generously giving up their time as without them, these events just wouldn’t be possible and I really couldn’t do it without them!” If you wish to make a donation to the charity, you can do so by visiting www.justgiving.com/Ayrshiresteps/.
