Aliens invade Irvine's rivers.

A FIGHTBACK against an 'alien' species which has invaded Ayrshire has been launched.

The Ayrshire Rivers Trust is spearheading the campaign against Invasive Non Native Species of plants and animals such as Giant Hogweed and the American Signal Crab, which have landed in the rivers of Irvine and Kilwinning to the detriment of the native species.
