COURT DATE: Paterson will stand trial at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court later this year.
A STEWARTON pensioner has been accused of abusing and molesting two young girls in cases dating back over 50 years.
George Clyde Paterson, of Morton Road, is alleged to have committed various attacks on his first alleged victim between the date of her birth through to her 16th birthday.
The 78-year-old is also accused of abusing the young girl on an occasion between her birth and her 12th birthday before allegedly committing further illegal sexual acts on her between the ages of two and 16.
And he is then reported to have committed similar acts on a second alleged victim when the girl was between three and twelve years old.
Paterson allegedly committed the offences at two separate Ayrshire addresses between 1953 and 1986.
The OAP pled not guilty to lewd and libidinous behaviour and illegal sexual activity at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week. He will stand trial later in the year.
