Royal Mail workers stage walk-out over working conditions

MAIL deliveries were hit for the second successive weekend in Irvine as more than 50 posties continued their strike action over working conditions and service cuts.

Fifty-four workers walked out at 9am on Saturday morning leaving senior management to tackle deliveries throughout the town.

The striking workers formed a picket line outside the High Street delivery office to again reinforce their anger at local working condition as well as nationwide Royal Mail cuts.
