Family's fury at Kilwinning thug's home visits after just two and a half years
A KILWINNING thug who battered a grand-dad to death in the street is to be let out of jail for home visits - after serving just two-and-a-half years of a nine year sentence.
George Wright, of Garrallan, was caged along with his brother Jason, of Irvine's Scott Road, after the attacked Bryan Drummond in the nearby Ayrshire town of Kilmarnock.
Mr Drummond's son Eric told the Times of the family's anger at learning the news.
"We weren't happy with the original sentence but this is a scandal.
"We are not going to sit back and let them get allowed out."
