Man sped off after angry Rivergate crowd gathered
A DRUNK cyclist knocked down a frail zimmer-bound pensioner as he sped through an Irvine shopping centre - then scarpered as an angry crowd gathered.
Thomas William Kiltie, 41, raced through the Rivergate mall at 10am on June 11, crashing into Rosemary Dorrans, knocking her to the ground and leaving her with a broken hand and bruising.
Sentence on Kiltie, from Penkill Road, Girvan, was deferred at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
