Teen hit victim's head against bus stop

A VINEBURGH teen hit a woman's head against a bus stop after a disagreement on social networking site Bebo.

Kimberley Young, from Old Caley Road, attacked Kirsty McGregor after spotting her walking on Bank Street on March 5 this year.

Irvine District Court heard Young, 17, and McGregor had a "history of bad blood" and the latter was on her way to work when she was approached by the accused.

Procurator Fiscal Susan Fotheringham said: "At 8.35am an argument broke out and as a result the accused grabbed the complainer's hair and punched her face and head before knocking her face against a bus stop."
