IRVINE'S international link has been taken to the Scottish Parliament - as part of a new exhibition celebrating Scotland's association with Canada.
And it's not pictures of Irvine, North Ayrshire that are taking centre stage - it's snaps of Irvine, Alberta!
The move forms part of the Homecoming Scotland celebrations giving an insight into the various communities deriving their names from Scottish sources.
One panel at the exhibition includes pictures of buffalo grazing outside Irvine's namesake, while another features a shot of the 'road to infinity' running nearby.
The display continues Irvine's transatlantic connection after representatives from Irvine, California got in touch with a local politician to enquire about forging a closer friendship.
MSP Aileen Campbell received the invitation earlier this year and has welcomed the latest attempt at promoting the link.
