Mourning pet lover Alrene is hit with £230 vet bill

THE distraught owner of a pet cat mauled to death by four dogs has issued an emotional plea to their owner to come forward and hand himself in.

Arlene Scrimgeour's 13-year-old cat Billy was left almost unrecognisable after the brutal attack near her home in Castlepark.

Police have yet to trace the owner, who did not have the animals on leads, and Arlene has been left shattered by the loss.

She said: "I'm absolutely devastated. Billy was still breathing after the attack but his insides were destroyed. He couldn't be saved."
