Local theatre company holding open auditions for all
AN UP-AND-COMING Irvine theatre company is calling on local talent to come forward and play a lead role in its next project.
Aulround Productions will hold an open audition this weekend and want as many faces as possible to turn up to fill a variety of roles.
Former Irvine Royal Academy pupils Alan MacLean and Stuart Woodison are behind the company and in May will be staging Timothy Mooney's adaptation of The Doctor in Spite of Himself.
Alan said: "We're all about giving people interested in acting and productions a chance to develop their talent. So we want to encourage as many people as possible to come forward.
"We're not expecting people to be professionally trained - we just want them to have the desire."
The Irvine actors will host the open auditions at Irvine Sports Club from 3pm to 6pm on Sunday. No experience is required and positions ranging from acting to lighting all have to be filled.
