Shocking big freeze fall statistics

OFFICIAL statistics which show the number of people at our emergency wards during the big freeze show the extent of injuries caused by icy paths and roads.

And due to pressure from the worried public, the Scottish Government has released statistics about NHS Ayrshire and Arran months ahead of when they woere due to be released.

Now the Times can reveal that in the worst fortnight of the severe weather 4457 pateients visited our two local A and E wards - one of the highest years on record.
