THE OWNER of a Kilwinning dog groomer's is devastated after sick thieves TRASHED her shop - to steal dog baskets, pet shampoo and the entire till.
And Gillian Semple, who owns Pawfection the Main Street, said she was even more furious at the carnage caused by the night-time raid than the hundreds of pounds it could set her back.
"I'm really angry. Not so much about the money but they have left an awful lot of mess and there's glass everywhere.
"It's really stupid. They smashed the windows right through and managed to get through a very small opening.
"Then they took they whole till away but also took stupid things like a single bottle of dog shampoo."
Gillian said the heartless robbers took well over £300 worth of dog accessories as well as the till full of cash.
These included dog beds, leads and shampoo.
Gillian said she thinks the pet-shop thieves will try to sell a selection of dog beds on to unsuspecting pet-owners - and she urged readers to be wary of buying them.
