Why is battle over house build still running 30 years on?
A FURORE about building a house and the allegedly illegal felling of trees in an Irvine estate has raged up again - after starting around 30 years ago.
And a special Review Board have again been looking at the decision to refuse planning permission on a previous THREE occasions after a fresh bid to build another house at Williamfield Park.
But some residents of the street, which was established in the early 1980s, are furious at the new attempt and say "nothing has changed."
In a strongly worded letter of complaint to the council, Eric and Marion Bannerman said: "Three different planning committees have all returned the same or similar decisions for refusal.
"There is no relevant justification for allowing this appeal."
