THE ENTIRE community of Woodwynd are working together in a final push to get their young football stars to a tournament in the USA.
And now, if their final fund-raising efforts are successful, the Woodwynd Wolves look set to jet off to Detroit to play in a championship with 500 other teams from across the world.
Manager Colin Young said the hard-working team, none of whom have been to the USA before, were "very excited" and had boosted their own training schedule in order to play their best in Canton, Detroit.
He said: "the guys have stepped up their own training. The usually just train on a Tuesday, but now they've added an extra night of fitness training on a Thursday. And they've got a boxercise tutor coming."
The team are also looking for a company to sponsor their new kits and bags. Call the community centre on 01294 557706.
